Indie-artist AM is set to release his new album at the end of July, and what better way to lead off than with a song about a boy and his dog? His first single, “Me and My Arrow”, is a re-working of Harry Nilsson’s original psychedelic track from a cartoon show (which explains the video you see). With a background of chill synth-beats and drums produced by Joey Waronker (also drummed for Beck on “Mutations”), AM turns another synth-pop song into something much more with his guitar riffs and folk twinges that give the song a bit more life. New Normal is AM’s first album since 2010, and it has the makings to be just as well-received. AM is going on tour with Shawn Lee this summer, though only to a select few location, see below if your city made the cut.
