Wikipedia defines Why?’s genre as “Jangle Rock/ Alternative Hip-Hop;” my best guess would be to call it Dark Indie Hop-Rock. This is a band that truly transcends genres and it works perfectly for them. With eerily dark music mixed with lryics that have been described as “like mental peanut butter, I keep going back again and again because I can’t get enough.” This band truly has something interesting; if I had to compare them to someone I’d say a dark hip-hop infused Beck.
