I recently came upon a interesting project that I wish I had heard about in my youth, As Tall as Lions. Unfortunately, the foursome disbanded in 2010, but if you haven’t heard of them they have 3 albums and 3 EPs for you to check out and enjoy. Hailing from New York, the indie rockers have an interesting blend between punk folk into their rock. Personally, I wish I had heard of them when they were still together, the youth in me would have enjoyed their rock and punk side and might have turned me onto the wonders of the folk genre earlier than I had. That being said these guys have some amazing songs in their repertoire and truly excel at building the intensity of the song throughout, ending in some intense climax.
