Bloc Party – Octopus [New]

After ten years together, three full length albums, and a few EPs I admittedly thought Bloc Party was done after their less than stellar ‘Intimacy’ (2009). ‘Octopus,’ their first single in over three years, and the first off their upcoming 4th studio album, has reinvigorated my excitement for this UK based indie rock crew. Lead singer Kele Okereke channels some soul into this recent release, creating a sound that is reminiscent of their ‘Sound Alarm’ glory days, but with the higher production quality of their more recent releases. I’m excited to see what these four have up their sleeve for the rest of their upcoming fourth full length LP, ‘Four,’ due out later this summer. Check out the video for the track below:
