Deer Tick [Artist Introduction]

I’ve been having trouble finding, and getting into newer stuff recently. One band, that although I’ve listened to in the past, but just recently started getting into is Deer Tick. It’s come to my attention that these guys are less known than I thought and plenty of you might not have had a chance to enjoy their work. Hailing from Rhode Island the 4 piece new england band formed around frontman John McCauley in late 2004. Other members have come and gone in the years since, with the only stability being McCauley himself. John keeps the band focused on it’s folksey, bluesey, and countryish alternative rock. The band has four albums released with the earlier albums (i.e. War Elephant) sounding more folk based, and the newer (i.e. Divine Providence) sounding more an experiment into alternative punk rock. Below I’ll give you a taste of some of my favorites this band has to offer, but I suggest you check out much more than that!
