Offering a vintage-pop sound which makes me think of Grease and roller-skating waitresses, Dominique Pruitt has a catchy sound with powerful vocals. She is similar to the Noisettes, but with surf-rock tones due to her California roots. A true lover of music, Pruitt offers a list of influences longer than I can afford to share, but the movie “Cry Baby” by John Waters is what made her fall in love with the ‘50s and remains her favorite film to this day. The child of two musicians, Dominique Pruitt has been surrounded by music her whole life and has always had the urge to perform. She’s in the process of recording an EP, which will likely result in her wish to perform being granted. For now, we’re left with the infectious tune “To Win Your Love”, enjoy!
