From her folk and americana sounding voice, you may never guess that Hurray for the Riff Raff’s lead singer, Alynda lee Segarra, is a 25 year old Puerto Rican from the Bronx. However, settling down in New Orleans certainly explains the southern blues and soul influences. “Look Out Mama” is the lead single off the album sharing its name which will be released May 1st. You can watch a video below of the band performing “Look Out Mama” whilst dressed in their outfits and face paint to celebrate the Day of the Dead in New Orleans. After receiving such accolades as Top Ten Album of 2011 by the Times of London and impressing fans at last years SXSW, Hurray for the Riff Raff appears ready for a big year with the release of “Look Out Mama”
