John Cale – Nookie Wood

"John Cale"
John Cale has announced his first single off his upcoming solo-album Nookie Wood. “I Wanna Talk 2 U” is produced by Danger Mouse, the same guy who teamed up with Jack White to bring us “Two Against One”. The track has a classic rock vibe throughout it and a great beat to groove to. Unfortunately it hasn’t been released yet so you’ll have to live off the snippet at the end of Cale’s “Welcome to Nookie Wood” video. Originally Cale was hoping for “an old-school Detroit vibe”, but when mixed with Cale’s emotional vocals the track takes on a new, less-edgy element. All in all, the former member of the Velvet Underground, is going to deliver a very interesting album. An album which he seems to have had a lot of fun creating, and that’s always a good sign.
