Mother Mother [Artist Introduction]

Now that wedding season is officially over for me, I can return to sharing my latest artist obsessions with you. It also means that I am done with slow ballads made to make drunk mothers cry while their husbands and daughters dance the father-daughter dance. SO, in celebration I’m introducing you all to one of the quirkiest bands I’ve heard in awhile. Mother Mother was introduced to me this weekend while sitting around in an airport. This five-piece band from America’s northern neighbor will get even the biggest introvert to feel the desire to jump up and down in a crowded airport. Filled with peppy beats and catchy lyrics, it is nearly impossible to not get their songs stuck in your head. The song that exposed me to Mother Mother is “The Stand,” and it is the definition of mind-sticking music. They also have a new single out “Let’s Fall in Love” off of their new album The Sticks, which is due out this fall.
