Natural Child [Artist Introduction]

Natural Child
When you receive an email boasting some “stoner friendly jams”, you can’t be sure what to expect. In my experience, stoners can jam to most anything. After listening to Natural Child’s single “B$G P$MP$N”, I understand. The song is full of humorous stoner charm, without going over the edge. With references to Lil’ Wayne, riding dirty, and ice, the lyrics to Natural Child’s summer party single seem more appropriate for hip-hop and less so for the classic rock and blues sound they produce. In “Mother Nature’s Daughter”, the band gets back to business in one of the best new rock songs I’ve heard this year. Played in a Neil Young-esque style, including a tasty guitar solo at 2:20, their latest single has me itching for their new LP “Hard to Heaven” out September 11th. A gritty and hardworking band, Natural Child is a local favorite in Nashville and appears more than able to catch fire around the nation as they tour and release new music.
