Shine Delphi – Find My Way [Artist Introduction]

Shine Delphi
I discovered Shine Delphi this past Saturday at the Midtown Arts & Music Festival in Harrisburg. The blues, folk, ragtime, gypsy-style band was far and away the highlight of a chock-full day of music. Led by the soulful vocals of the vagabond known as “Shine”, and with accompaniment with accordian, steel lap guitar, and washboard, it was a match made in heaven for my ears. Compared to bands I’ve shared in the past, Shine Delphi is most similar to Pokey LaFarge & the South City Three, but with a noticeable gypsy element. Shine spends his time travelling the country wherever he can play his music, which has allowed his talents and style to blossom. It’s hard to imagine this blues/folk troubadour came from the same suburban sprawl as myself. Enjoy one of my favorites, “Find My Way”, below! Special thanks to the guys over at Tree Cover Records for organizing the event that turned me on to Shine Delphi!
