Tigertown [Artist Introduction]

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared any of my Aussie favorites with you, so here’s a group that’s not only from down under but has potential to be popular in the States not too far from now. Tigertown is a six piece ensemble based out of Sydney. They describe their sound as nu-folk music, which I can’t argue with. A combination of folk beats with an airy, energized atmosphere, Tigertown is anything but just another folk band. If you’re a fan of fellow Aussies Charlie Mayfair or Julia Stone, I guarantee you’ll be addicted to these guys. Their new EP Before the Morning doesn’t release until the 21st of September (check back for a full review on it!), but they have released a new single to give you a taste of what the EP has in store. “Morning Has Finally Come” epitomizes what Tigertown is all about with folksy lyrics and a whimsically beautiful sound, it is definitely worth a download.

Also check out this chill YouTube video of the band performing  live acoustic version of “The Right Time”
