Young Hines – Rainy Day [Artist Introduction]

Young Hines
Young Stryker Hines was born in Griffin, Georgia in 1976. As the youngest of 7 children, “Young” seemed an apt name for Mr. and Mrs. Hines’ newborn baby. His career has been as interesting, if not more so, than his name. From opening for Little Richard with his ’60s cover band The Roaches, to playing over 260 shows in one year with his brother in the duo Bailey Jester, and finally, opening for The Raconteurs last fall marking a zenith in Young Hines’ solo career. “Rainy Day” is off of Hines’ latest album Give Me My Change and echoes the ’60s sentiment that got Young Hines started. The song is catchy with smooth harmonies and reminds me a bit of the Beatles. Give it a listen for yourself below.
