Young Readers – Family Trees [Artist Introduction]

"Young Readers"
Oklahoma-based band Young Readers released a free EP a few months ago entitle Family Trees. Front-man Jordan Herrera plays a calming indie-folk that is similar to Youth Lagoon, but replacing synths with a softer string instrument base that gives some songs a more somber feel as in “Lion Tamer”. But fear not, Young Readers have a lighter side to them as well and songs like “Boxcar” and “Wooden Frame” which have a bit more hopeful sound. If you’re not digging the sound, don’t worry! there may still be reason to order Young Readers’ CD, each one comes packaged witha little box of crayons and the listener may color the album cover the way they see fit. If you’re too cool for coloring, he also includes a 22-bank work search on the back for you high-and-mighty folks. Enjoy Young Readers free EP below!
